Colt Telecom Ireland is investing in new equipment and facilities to support growth in the managed services market.

"Last September, we introduced a dedicated managed services division to provide customers with dynamic yet secure and scalable IT services and solutions," said Garry Keogh, managing director of Colt Telecom Ireland. "Colt's managed services division is now actively providing innovative customer solutions based around standardised platforms, supported by Colt's network, utility computing applications and data centres"....

Colt Telecom Ireland was established in 2000 as the Irish arm of Colt Telecom's international group. The company employs 43 staff in Ireland and generated revenues of €27million in 2007.

Colt recently finalised a long-term agreement to lease a new 420 square metre office in the Gateway development in Dublin. Keogh said that the company had invested €300,000 in the move.

"The deal was agreed in October 2008. The move involved the transfer of 23 staff to our new Irish headquarters, which has been fully operational since the start of the year" he said.
